WHAT DO I DO?

Upon finding a stray, you should always be prepared to keep the animal for 48 hours. Why 48 hours? Once relinquished to an animal shelter, an animal's chances of being reclaimed by their owner drastically declines, post the found stray to social media platforms and PetcoLoveLost.com; once you have reached 48 hours and no success of locating an owner, please contact us for instructions if you are needing to drop the animal off. Please note that we unfortunately cannot accept animals from outside of Carter county whether stray or owner relinquish.

From bathing puppies to assisting with events to transporting animals to other states or assisting staff with daily duties, we depend on volunteers to help provide the best care for our animals.
